Show's Fate

I have been getting a lot of emails about the show's future. Obviously I don't have any promises, but I believe the reason the show wasn't picked up with the rest of the CBS schedule is because they are wating to see how the show does on its new night (Wednesdays) along with Courting Alex. So basically we have another handful of episodes to bring in good ratings (9million + viewers). I think we have a good shot.

So tell a friend and lets support the show.

The show is back! Well, in another 5 days that is. The episode on March 22nd is called "Model Behavior". Oliver and Ben get involved with the wrong women just to prove a point to one another.

CBS Press Release

Small entry, but CBS has put out a press release touting the "success" of Out of Practice so I think we can be assured of a second season. However, they also said the same for Courting Alex, which did not show numbers as strong as OoP toward the end of its run.

As for "Yes, Dear" and "Still Standing" which have been VERY mediocre this year, we are not sure if they are coming back. I would imagine that if Practice and Alex take off on their new Wednesday time slots, they will not return this fall. Other good news is that besides "Old Christine", CBS doesn't have any more comedies they are going to drop on us. Which means our chances of sticking around are very good.

I was just checked the forums and saw this message:

I checked the IP and it seems pretty real. It looks like the CAST actually visited the site to show their support.

"Out of Practice" is coming back on March 22. But it will move to wednesdays at 8PM and will be followed by Courting Alex.

CBS likes the numbers for Alex and Practice so they are going to couple them together and see how they do. It will be interesting to see how we do without the Two and a Half Men lead in.

Still on Hiatus

The show is still not airing new episodes due to "Courting Alex". Which pisses me off considering Alex is not remotely funny. But the ratings disagree and Courting is doing very well. If this keeps up, it could spell trouble for Out of Practice.

Yes, the new Jenna Elfman show "Couting Alex" is still going to knock Out of Practice off the schedule for awhile starting this week. But it is only temporary so don't sweat it.

Last Episode Ratings

The Jan 16th episode did VERY well in the ratings game.The show was #1 in all households with almost 14 million viewers in the time slot. This is the BEST OUTING EVER! This is truly spectacular news for the show considering many people were uncertain as to its future. Another few episodes like this and we should have a locked season 2.

The show is being put on Hiatus in order for CBS to test the new Jenna Elfman comedy. That is ridiculous news! I predict the Elfman sitcom gets the boot after a few episodes. Rest assured television fans, CBS has assured us that the show isn't being replaced, but rather they have so many good shows, they don't have any bad ones to get rid of in order to test out new shows. As long as the Elfman project doesn't get good ratings we should be safe. So keep those fingers crossed.

What critics and fans are saying. . .
What crap, how can the best comedy I have seen in years be cancelled. CBS gave Raymond 2 years to get off the ground whats up with that. Im sorry but this really sucks. When is the DVD coming out, so at least I will have a copy of a show that is worth watching.
